01 ✦ The idea

New York meets
Puerto Rico.

Q's Corner Café is a small family-run spot on Rosewood Drive. The morning is pure New York: fresh bagels, bacon egg and cheese, chopped cheese off the griddle. Then the kitchen turns toward Puerto Rico, with homemade empanadas, rice and beans, fried plantains, and a rotating Latin lunch special.

Two food traditions, one little corner, and a family that cooks like they're feeding their own. Because most days, they are.

03 ✦ The family

The man behind
the Q.

Quincy Tirado, Chef Q to everyone who walks up, runs this kitchen with his family. His menu holds two traditions at once: a New York deli counter and a Puerto Rican kitchen, side by side on the same board.

That mix is the whole point. A pork roll egg and cheese can share a ticket with jibaritos, and nobody blinks. One reviewer mentioned that Q came out to check on their table himself. That tracks.

Small spot.
Big plates.

This is a neighborhood café, not a dining room. Walk up to the window, order, and grab a seat outside. Reviewers talk about the red picnic tables, the breeze, and plates that come out fresh because everything is made to order.

Amazing food and friendly staff! I love the idea of combining the taste of NYC and Puerto Rican flavors, it works so great together. The beef and chicken empanadas as well as the breakfast bagel sandwiches were so delicious and definitely a favorite of ours! We're so excited to try more great food here so we'll definitely be back again soon!
